Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sub20 app and sub20.app website (together, the "Service"), operated by Sub20 ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using Sub20, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Sub20 is a structured 5K running training system. It provides personalised training plans, coached sessions, benchmark tests, and progress tracking to help you work toward a target 5K time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Sub20. Running training involves physical exertion — consult a doctor before starting any new training programme, particularly if you have an existing health condition. You use Sub20 at your own risk.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know at hello@sub20.app if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. Subscription and Payment

Sub20 offers a 30-day free trial, followed by a recurring subscription at £19.99/month.
If you subscribe through the iOS app, payment is charged to your Apple ID account and subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings.
If you subscribe via the website, payment is processed securely by Stripe and subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled.
You can cancel at any time; you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. We don't provide refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to access it through unauthorised means, interfering with its operation, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

6. Third-Party Integrations

Sub20 can connect to Apple Health, Apple Watch, and Strava to import workout data and export your training sessions. These integrations are optional and governed by the relevant third party's own terms in addition to ours.

7. Intellectual Property

Sub20's training plans, app design, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them for personal training purposes only — not for resale or redistribution.

8. Disclaimer

Sub20 is provided "as is". While we aim for accurate, useful training guidance, we don't guarantee any specific fitness outcome or result. Training plans are general guidance, not medical advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Sub20 is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any injury sustained while following a Sub20 training plan.

10. Termination

You can stop using Sub20 and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of Sub20 after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
